Janjgir Champa: Organic farming campaign has been started by Kisan School Baheradih in Janjgir Champa district of Chhattisgarh. In Hardi (Hari) village of Nawagarh block, farmers were made aware under the organic farming campaign and farmers were informed about the benefits of organic farming.
Farmers from other villages including Hardi, Khaira, Budena, Jagmahant, Mahant, Nawagarh, Tendua, Bhadesar, Munund, Karra, Bhainsmudi, Khairtal, Chaurabhatha, Semra, Pacheda, Markadih, Avrid, Bhainsda, Siund had reached here. Farmers have also praised this effort of Kisan School. It has been described as a big step in the interest of farmers. Farmers say that all farmers should join this campaign.
Need to return to organic farming
Director of Kisan School Baheradih, Deendayal Yadav said that the indiscriminate use of chemical fertilizers by the farmers has reduced the fertility of the fields. In such a situation, farmers will have to once again turn towards organic farming. Keeping this in view, the organic farming campaign has been started by the Kisan School in the interest of the farmers. Under which farmers are being informed about the importance of organic farming by going to the villages. He said that today farmers need to be aware about organic farming, because the side effects of chemical fertilizers are coming to the fore, in such a situation, farmers need to return to organic farming.
Do organic farming in pots in the beginning
The school appealed to the farmers to start organic farming initially in a small space of the house or in pots. With this, farmers will come to know that vegetables or fruits produced under organic farming are very beneficial for health. The use of organic fertilizers increases the fertility of the soil of the fields.
Appeal not to burn stubble
An appeal was also made to the farmers not to burn the stubble (agriculture residue) in the fields. Farmers were made aware of the damage caused to the fields due to stubble burning and people were made aware. Due to the death of microorganisms present in the fields by burning the straw, the soil is damaged and the plants planted on the ridges of the fields are also destroyed by fire.
